Sunday April 7th – 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM
Howard Street – Downtown Boone – Corner of Depot St. to the End of the Wilcox Warehouse
- The Howard Street Exchange Fair is the final event of The Summit to celebrate the High Country’s local vibrant economy and community!
- The fair will feature local small businesses, local artists, local food, live music, and more!
- The pedestrian thoroughfare of Howard Street will be expanded to the entire street, allowing only foot traffic.
- Free event parking is available off Rivers Street in the Appalachian State University Raley parking lot.
-Vendors will be arranged on the street in groups of similar enterprises.
-The space of your booth should be roughly 8’x8’ or less, unless you have made other arrangements with the Core Team.
-Vendor parking is available in the large Appalachian State parking lot in front of Raley Hall. The parking lot is open to the public on weekends. Volunteers from the Summit will be on hand at the parking lot to assist you in carrying your things to the street fair area.
-Due to fire code regulations, any vendor plan using a tent for their display, the tent or the box it came in, needs to be labeled as ‘fire retardant’ and a 5# fire extinguisher must be on hand. The Fire Marshall will be conducting inspections the day of the event.
-Vendor selling goods or services need to have a copy of their business license on hand. The Core Team would also appreciate having a digital copy on file for our records prior to the event.
Above all that, this is a celebration! Bring your friends out, meet new ones, and come help everyone have a good time!
